Oops

I posted twice about Colin's potty training! Oh well, it's much to celebrate!! I repeat myself a lot..you can ask my husband as he has heard the same stories a dozen times. I always blame it on the car accident I had when I was a senior in high school and suffered a concussion...that's always my excuse! Haha.

The Walking Baby

Last Monday, just a week and a half shy of 10 months, Declan took his first steps!! And yesterday, I thought ummm it's only been a week and you're already following your big brother around! I. Am. In. Trouble. As trouble is Colin's first and middle name!

Declan IS under me ALL of the time! While I was pregnant with him, I prayed for a mamas boy.

I can't be out of his sight!! I love that he loves me..a lot but wow, even typing in this blog is taking a long time because my sweet boy is staring at me, wanting to be held.
Declan is 20lbs and is a petite guy! It's so funny to see him walk because he looks too little to walk!

In Colin news. Which is some big, exciting, praise the good Lord news!!

Colin has been using the potty!!! <insert choir singing Hallelujah>   I am DONE buying diapers for Colin Michael!  So I've been asked multiple times....how did you do it!?!?! Well, I'm that good, don't ya know?! Ok, I can't lie. It was Colin who initiated it! He told me when he was ready. I'm so very proud of him!

In school news, pray for Colin and his teachers! He has not been getting good reports. He has this thing where he doesn't listen.... And it's getting him in trouble. Both at home and at school. I really think part of it is because of his speech. He can't communicate well with us and it's frustrating and he gets angry. I'm working on getting his speech screened but that's a whole other frustrating story.

This was a picture taken yesterday. It's Suess week at school!

And I leave you with this pic so you see how honest I am about Declan! He's letting me know time is up!

Another proud moment!

Sooooooooo I've always asked Colin if he'd like to go to the potty and once in a blue moon I would get  an okay! So I started noticing that he was holding himself when he went potty in his diaper. I made a big deal Saturday and talked up this whole pee pee in the potty bit! And what do you know?? It worked!!!  My big boy went accident free on his first real day of potty training!! Yesterday, he had an accident and today he did as well but mostly we are using the potty!!!! I am so super proud!!!! Of course all of this would happen after I just bought and opened some diapers! It's okay...not likewe don't   have another one that will need  them! Anywho, this is big and exciting news in our house and we couldn't be more proud!!

Colin is a mama's boy now?!

Dare I say it is true?!? Well, since I've started staying home, Colin has finally taken notice of his mother!! I was only wanted during sleepy times and sick times! Now, I'm loved!! Haha Colin has always been an everybody's boy! He loves everyone but at last, I am number 1!  I'm taking in all in and soaking up all the sugar and hugs that wild child of mine is giving! I know in the future those things will be totally uncool! I'm not sure if it's because I'm home with him or because of a certain little brother who is also a mommy's boy! Oh well, I love it!

Such a happy boy!

The big move

We are officially moved. :(. I really had no idea how attached to our house I was until we began moving things out of the house! I miss my house and my job so much!! However, I'm loving date nights with my husband, staying home with 2 of the cutest little guys I know, and having help with the boys. Never had that before!

I hope everything works out for the best and our beautiful home sells quickly and we can find one that we love just as much! This rental has (and continues to be) a big pain! The week we were supposed to move, it got crazy freezing cold in the south! Pipes burst and flooded the floors causing water damage and the only floor currently in tact on the bottom floor is the living room. You can imagine how fun it is to keep a crawling baby who follows his big brother around everywhere confined!
Anywho, I know this will pass!

On a bright note, Colin started 2 year old preschool! He goes for a few hours twice a week and seems to be the youngest in his class. So far he really seems to enjoy it and embarrasses me when it's time to go bc he throws a fit to stay. This kid is NOT a home body!  Anywhere but home is Colin! We went in to observe the school, he took his coat off, kissed me, and said bye mommy! I think my heart fell to the floor! I wanted to cry right there but I waited until I got into the car.  I'm proud of him but seriously??! Would it have hurt him to act a little sad?!

In Declan news, he's got 8 teeth now!! Pulling up and letting go! It tickles him silly when he stands without holding onto anyone or anything. We go next week to an ENT specialist. He's had the same war infection since November!

Just a few pics of the boys (who I swear are brothers even though Declan looks nothing like B, C, or me!)

It's Santa!!!

My great friend and co-worker's dad IS the local Santa and we've seen him twice this year! Once without his suit and then last night in his suit. Colin refused to sit in his lap, Declan was fascinated by his beard, and the entire family ended up with a pretty good photo.

Yes, I'm sitting in Santas lap! Colin did manage to tell Santa that he would like some cars for Christmas!
