Declan’s First Hair Cut

My best friend, Jill made Colin’s first haircut a breeze so we decided to keep the tradition and have her cut Declan’s hair for the first time! Colin had a lot more hair than Declan but Declan definitely needed a trim.  He was sporting a mullet and long hair by his ears.

Thanks Jill for being patient and doing a wonderful job!! We love you!!!

It’s a Celebration!

I know it’s cliché but seriously! I can not believe my baby boys are 1 and 3!!

Colin weighs in at 36 lbs and is for the most part potty trained! He loves Cars, Daniel Tiger, Elmo, and his little brother. He has definitely calmed down from his wild child days! Smile He likes to hang with the bigger kids. Loves to be outside. He enjoys school, learning, making others laugh, and throwing the ball around. He is such a loving little boy.  He hates naps and well…sleep in general!

Declan weighs in at 20 lbs and is fun sized! He is spunky and into absolutely everything! You can redirect him, pop his little hand, tell him NO and you’re simply wasting the energy because his determination will try you! He loves laughing when you laugh, following his big brother around, and seeing just how loud he can yell! (Pretty loud and these screams just occur sporadically…in the grocery store, the car, at home…)

I can’t even begin to tell you how much energy these 2 little guys possess! I should be a string bean as much running around as I do after them!  They eat so much to be little people!

We celebrated their birthday with a Cookies and Milk themed party. We kept it pretty simple with just a few folks because the rental house is pretty small. They racked up on some pretty cool things! Declan eating his cake was Ah-MAZING!  I tried to get someone to take him home with them…afterall, he did pretty much demolish an entire cake…who wouldn’t want a sugar crazed baby?  Smile

It's a.....

My brother and his wife are expecting a baby this fall. They had a gender reveal party where the mothers cut the cake to reveal blue for boy or pink for girl. They already knew- for like a week!!! Crazy how they were able to keep it a secret for that long especially with the "C'mon just please please tell only me" they heard coming from a certain Aunt. 😉

I was really torn because 1) it'd be great if the baby was a boy because then they could be best buds with my boys 2) I may never have a girl so this baby may be the only girl!   So basically, I would have been happy either way!  Although, my guess was boy!

Mama was hoping for pink but she's excited about a BOY!! This was the only shot I had of the actual blue cake.

Congratulations Kevin and Aggie!! I'm so excited for you guys!!! Excited for us too!! Hooray for cousins!!!

Wizard of Oz

Colin went to his first play on his birthday to see the Wizard of Oz where our good friend ( who also sang in our wedding) played the Tin Man! He did an awesome job and is uber talented!! Joey and I grew up beside each other and put on concerts regularly for our families! And now, he is continuing in front of a much larger audience! I am so proud of him! Colin really had a great time! Wasn't scared of the wizard or the wicked witch!

Thanks Grandpa, Mimi, Papa, and Gigi for coming! Colin even showed a little skin in the church as you see above. It was a cute little program. We are unsure if Colin will be going back next year as we’re waiting to hear if he will be need speech. I should know by the 12th of June. Anywho, he started in the middle of the year, got into a little trouble, had a lot of fun, and learned lots while in preschool. It really was a great place for our little guy. He loved school and often did not want to leave! He also enjoyed his book bag and lunchbox. He will sometimes just hold it like he’s ready to go!
