Case James Talty

April 29, in the wee hours of the morning, just barely even Thursday, our second beautiful nephew was born.  He is so precious and I hate that we live so far away!   Brendan and I can't wait to see him and see Camden in his new role as Big Brother and see how Cole interacts with him since she's a little older since the last baby came along! I stole this picture since I was unable to be there for my very own.  I'm sure Case will have his share of the "paparazzi" soon.  Cole is a princess and Camden is an athlete...wonder what Case will have in store for us?  Can't wait to find out!!  We are so excited for the growing Talty family.  Congratulations Jessica and Brian on your new bundle of joy.  I know your hearts must be overflowing with love!!

Tough Day

Today has started off a little rough. I had my first dream last night about Dad.  Even in the dream I was quite upset. This is still really hard to swallow, so please still keep me as well as my family in your thoughts.  Some days, I feel like I am going to survive this and be okay and then others, my chest literally tightens with heartache.  I miss him so incredibly much.  I AM blessed to have had my dad for 26 years.

Also today would have been my MeMa's 62nd Birthday.  Happy Birthday to my amazing grandmother who helped to raise me and teach me mini life lessons.  She was an incredible woman and I miss her dearly.

However rough the day, I know I can get through it.  I have been blessed with an incredible husband who knows all the right things to do and say to get me to smile or laugh.

American Idol- My pick

What?! This girl doesn't post in a week but can post twice in one night?!!   GUILTY! :)  I am just stating my pick for AI this year.  Although, my pick never wins...which I think is a glitch in their system..haha  You know me, I'm not wrong. :)~  Well, 1st of all, let me just say...I am not impressed this year with AI.  I've been pretty unpleased with the "talent" on here and the talent they let go! I've picked this person from the get-go...well...when the judges had picked their 24 or whatever.  My pick for American Idol this year is............... LEE DEWYZE.  I've probably cursed him now and he won't win.   We really don't watch AI. At least not this year.  We've flipped it back on tonight because NCIS is a re-run.   I did watch it at the beginning but when they started moving forward people who I didn't think were as talented as the ones they let go, I quit.  Oh well, we shall see.

Zoo Trip

My mom, brother, and his girlfriend, Aggie came to Columbia this past Sunday and visited us wild animals..also the animals at the zoo.  Apparently, I  love the zoo and I've been way more times that I realized. It was the perfect day to go too.  I have to say though; I am disappointed in Riverbank Zoo for taking down the Seal exhibit and replacing it with boring small Kangaroos.  I think they will regret this decision. I'll post some videos later. Hopefully, this weekend.  :)

This would have been an awesome shot...had I not accidently had the setting to black and white pictures.

My modeling debut......and finale.

:) Kevin showed his true self in this pic.

Griffin Patrick Ancone

Our friends Keith and Ashlyn welcomed in their first born, April 9 at 2:03 pm.  Griffin entered into the world weighing 7lbs and 3 oz and with many fans already! We've been so anxious to meet him!!  He's absolutely perfect! Both mom and baby are doing great.  Brendan and I were so anxious to meet him and were so glad we were able to spend time with the new family.  I'm already in love with this precious baby boy.  Ashlyn and Keith made the decision to not find out the sex which at first, I thought they were absolutely crazy! But now, I understand and have seen how exciting it was not to know!  Everyone was excited not only about the baby but it's sex and name! I definitely don't think I could have waited to know if it was a girl or a boy. Which, by the way, I was convinced that baby was going to be a girl!  I am so excited to watch Griffin grow.  Our lives are all changing...first marriage and now babies.  It's an exciting change.  It's just sometimes hard to believe that we're "all grown up"!  When did that happen? When we were little, we couldn't wait to grow up and thought that it was taking entirely too long and now that we're here, we wonder where the time went. These are some of the pictures from our first visit with Griffin.  Welcome to the world Griffin!  We can't wait to spoil you!!

Think we're ready? haha  Griffin is so tiny and so cute!  Pretty soon, we'll be welcoming a new nephew into the world!!  I'd LOVE to be able to see him.  It stinks we're so far away! :(  Wish I could laso them closer! Super Fast Travelling Machine, when will someone invent you? I know of 4 babies that were born within the past week.  Babies Babies everywhere!  I love it!  :)

Oops

Those 2 videos I think were listed as private.  It's fixed now.  Now, you can watch Kaleigh learn how to ride a bike.  She did it very fast!

Kaleigh Rides a Bike.

During our Easter holiday, Kaleigh brought over her bike.  Mom really wanted Kay-Bug to learn how to ride a bicycle.  She's in the 3rd grade so we figured it WAS about time! She got a bike from Santa and it's PINK! :)  Here are a few short videos of Kevin teaching her how to ride.  I remember my experience of learning how to ride and let me tell you, Kaleigh is definitely kin to me!  She did so well and I'm so proud of her!

Easter

We headed to Florence this past Saturday to spend Easter with my family. Saturday, we went to this Hibachi restuarant where I tried sushi for the first time and absolutely loved it!! FYI- do NOT take me to all you can eat buffets. This place had sushi, a place where you could pick your food and they would grill it in front of you (like at Japanese restuarants, and the all you could eat and anything and everything on the buffet. This would be including crawfish, pizza, octopus...umm yes, I meant everything. The weather was amazing but we do have to complain about the yellow snow..I mean pollen that completely covered my car!

Mom along with Aunt Teresa made a fantastic Easter dinner. Well, we say dinner but it was actually lunch. On Sundays, lunch is called dinner because we eat a big lunch on Sundays after church. Brendan thinks this is weird, but every Sunday, I cook a dinner style lunch and for dinner...well, I don't cook because we eat let overs! OR I do. Brendan is not a left over eating guy so he usually makes himself a hotdog or something. Man, can I jump subjects or what? haha We left Florence too early because Brendan had softball practice on EASTER SUNDAY. Which I thought wasn't right but that was probably just because I wasn't ready to leave. I always have a hard time leaving my mom.  More to come! When I find the time! ahhh this working woman is TIRED!  It took me 2 days to complete this entry!

My day off...

and I wake up at 7 am!  Booo!!!  However, it was and still is an absolutely beautiful Good Friday! It's actually HOT outside!  Ohhhhhh, I can't wait for summer!! Wait, I have to work now in the summer. Well, either way...our anniversary and cruise is this summer and that is def. something to look forward to!

This is how I wanted to spend my day.  Relaxing in the hammock reading Staying True by Jenny Sanford ( our sorry Govenor's ex wife).  (I'm still reading the Shopaholic series, but I was on hold forever and day for this book from the library so I've got to read it quickly because it has to be turned back in quickly) Anywho!!  Ferrell is prissier than ME and hated being outside!  I know, who would of thought it!?  He did not want to be outside at all...not a bit. He was like "mom, I did my business, now lets go back in." I felt bad for the little snot, so we went in after only about 30  minutes.

I also did some major grocery shopping!  We had nothing. I mean nothing!! The only thing that we could eat was a bowl of cereal and we'd have to split that b/c we're almost out of cereal as well and some toast.  It was so bad that I was almost out of Peanut Butter...which just does not happen in my house! Oh, get this!  The center that I work at is a peanut free center so I can't bring a PB & J if I wanted. Stinkers! Oh right...grocery shopping.  So I totally pulled a MeMa today and went to 2 grocery stores.  Mema never went to just one store....she usually had to go to them all EVERY day.  She'd pick me up from school or day care and we'd go to every grocery store.  I say we....but she always stayed in the car with me and made Papa go in.  You know, come to think of it....I don't think I ever saw MeMa in the driver seat of the car....I'm not sure if I ever saw her drive. Ha! Weird that that comes to mind.

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter or as one of my students says "A Happy Bunny Day!"
A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LISA AND CAMDEN!
