Colin enjoys Uncle Danny's gift

My little baseball player

In honor of Carolina playing last night to win the College World Series, Colin thought it'd be a great idea to dress appropriately....ok, his mommy did.  The hat doesn't fit but my gosh, is this kid cute or what?!

By the way, we won and we maintain our title as THE CHAMPIONS!!!

This House is a headache

If it's not one thing it's  another! A piece of our flooring needs fixing, our plants died, now our grass is trying it's best to survive, our AC broke- they came and fixed it but not before they put a crack in the ceiling, our sink's seal has come undone, we had a crazy storm with insane hail that chipped our siding and damaged parts of the roof, and now our water is constantly running although no water is turned on in the house.  Good gracious!!  This mama needs a nap but I can't get one for all the people who are coming to see this/ fix that/ give an estimate.  UGHHHH   Say a prayer that nothing else will go wrong AND these guys COME when they say they are.    Sorry to unleash my frustrations.  But, I'm entitled to be moody every now and again.   :)

Hide yo' daughters!

Because Stud Muffin, Colin is on the loose!  I know I am on a blogging roll today.  Colin is finally giving me a break where I can actually blog!  Even though there are dishes to be put away, clothes to be folded, floors to be swept, a shower to be had...I am doing this.  Ahh, I should get my priorities straightened out.  Too bad none of those other things appeal to me in the slightest...well the shower one definitely does but little dude would probably wake up crying if I tried to do that and the thought of me showering and him out in his swing crying breaks my heart so I stink on!  :)

So last week, Colin and I headed to Columbia to spend a few nights with Grandpa and Mimi.  B had to work in Cola.

While we were in Cola, I just had to go and see my friend Janet and meet her new baby girl, Blakely!  She's so little! She has red hair and makes so many little squeaks while she is sleeping.  I brought my camera along in hopes to get a few pictures of Blakely and Colin together.   How fun  will that be to look back on when they are 16 and in love? haha just kidding.  But we're all determined that our kids will be the best of friends just like their mommies and daddies.  Well, we put Colin and Blakely in the swing together and this was the outcome:

Colin gave her some love.  Unfortunately, Blakely thinks boys have cooties and did not enjoy this smooch.

plus 1 day, Brendan and I were married! Yesterday we celebrated 2 years of wedded bliss. Well, we're actually celebrating this weekend thanks to my mom coming and looking after little man. A task I'm sure she's dreading!  ha! not!

Hard to believe sometimes that its only been 2 years! Then there are other times where I think: Wow, we're already at 2 years! So much has happened in the 2 years we've been married! We've suffered loss, a big move, new jobs, and now our first born.  Through it all, one thing remains the same- we are still totally in love with one another. With the loss of my dad, we grew even closer.  Brendan really helped me through and continues to help me as I mourn for my dad.  With the move, we only had each other really, and we grew closer again.  It amazes me that even though I was totally in love with my husband before we married and didn't think it possible that I could love him anymore, I do.  It just continues to grow.

Don't worry, I'm not going to get all sappy on here.  I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my sweet husband who with every year has shown me the true meaning of love.  I appreciate all that you do for me and our family.  I married an incredible guy and at this moment, I couldn't be more blessed!

Colin is famous!

How proud we are of Photography by Donna Kay! She was featured on : http://allthephotographers.com/blog/photography-by-donna-kay-lifestyle-photography/   where her beautiful  photos and story were displayed including photos of the beautiful Colin Michael!  I just wanted to brag on Donna Kay and share!  I love that Colin's little face was chosen to be apart of this!

Colin will be giving slobber autographs at the Barnes and Nobles this Saturday. He's got plenty to go around!  ;)

Father’s Day

One this day, Colin and I celebrate the wonderful father Brendan is and is still becoming. From the  very beginning, he has stepped up and helped out more than I could imagine. I have never seen him as excited as I have when Colin was born.  He could hardly wait until we got to the hospital.  He gets up with Colin in the middle of the night and when he comes home from work, he kisses me hello and then holds his son for some “guy time”.  Their nightly routine is rocking in the recliner.  I’m sure you can tell by reading this blog that I think very highly of my husband.  I can’t tell you how much more I think of him now that he is a dad. I honestly believe if I could love Brendan and Colin anymore than I already do, I would burst.  So Brendan, thank you for being an amazing dad in such a short time. From the way that you are with our son now, I have no doubt that you’re going to be the world’s best daddy.  I know you will be in my eyes and your son’s.  Even as I type this and I look over at you and your son enjoying your “guy time”, I am overwhelmed by how incredible life has turned out to be.

Our baby is 1 month old!

Most of this was written on June 3. It takes a while for me to get photos uploaded and type out an entry with a little baby boy around to snuggle with and kiss on. :)

Wow! He's only 1 month and I already want time to stand still! He's growing too fast. Although, we wouldn't mind speeding up the part where he sleeps through the night! :)  This past month has been so many things- Our hearts are overflowing and could burst with the amount of admiration and love we have for this amazing little boy. Yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment that kept me from him for over 2 hours- My longest time away from him.  I missed him so much.  I think come August, this little Mama is going to be a wreck when returning to work. This month has also been difficult for me with recovering but thankfully it gets better each day and I am blessed with an absolutely incredible husband and family who have really been so helpful. This goes without saying but I'll say it anyways- this past month has also been exhausting! But having Colin Michael here with us is worth all that times a million. Him and his daddy are my entire life.  How did I ever manage without those two?

So Colin I think was born a little ahead.  What can I say? We made a beautiful, smart baby! :)  Here are some things we've learned about Colin so far:  From the time he was born, he had his eyes wide open taking everything in. My very alert boy!  He's also had his fist smile. He's had that for a few weeks now.  He tries to hold his head up and has been trying since week 2. He attempts to crawl up on his daddy when daddy holds him.   Colin is also very spoiled and loves to be held and cuddled.  oops.  :)  He also enjoys his swing and watching the stars and lambs above his head move. When he sucks on his pacifier, he reminds me of Maggie from The Simpsons because he sucks on it so hard and makes a lot of noise. He also enjoys sucking on his thumb and hands. I'm trying to not let him do that though. Boy can pass gas like a man!  I kidd you not, on more than 1 occasion, I thought it was his dad. Colin also hate getting out of the bath water. He screams bloody murder!  Colin also likes to look around outside. He has also discovered his hands. They are amazing! But of course, I think every inch of him is miraculous!

I can't get enough!
